Aniah celebrates France 2030 recognition and affirms its commitment to contributing to the independence and resilience of the European microelectronics industry.
Grenoble, January 30, 2023,
Aniah is delighted to share the double recognition from the French authorities, in particular Prime Minister Gabriel ATTAL and Bruno BONNEL, Secretary General for Investment, in charge of France2030. This news underlines our sustained efforts, and the challenges we continue to invest in, to promote the development of the European microelectronics industry, strengthen its autonomy and increase its resilience.
First, this France2030 label consolidates our strategy to become a leading player in the field of EDA (Electronic Design Automation) software within the European microelectronics industry.
The France2030 program aims to help our national and European champions reduce their dependence towards Asian and Americans major players. This dependence has various implications, notably in terms of sovereignty, economic impact, and competitiveness. Our national industrial capacities remain exposed to global economic and geopolitical imbalances, imports of sophisticated components reduce the added value generated on our territory, and the lack of electronic and robotic components could hamper our economy’s transition to Industry 4.0.
Then, we will benefit from financial support for our R&D investments, in particular for our contribution in the European collaborative program EEcone (European ECOsystem for greeN Electronic). This program brings together major players in our sector such as CEA-leti, SOITEC, STMICRO and Dassault Systèmes, to name a few of French partners within the European consortium. The aim of this program is to develop and deploy European electronics with low environmental impact.
“Aniah is proud to be part of the France2030 community, we are humbled to receive this award, while fully aware of the crucial challenges facing our sector. We will contribute to helping European champions shape the competitive, responsible and sovereign microelectronics of the future.” – Vincent BLIGNY, Co-founder, and CEO of Aniah.
About France 2030
Presented on October 12th , 2021 by the President of the French Republic, FRANCE2030:
– Translates a dual ambition: to sustainably transform key sectors of our economy (energy, automotive, healthcare, aeronautics, and space) through technological and industrial innovation, and to position France not just as a player, but as a leader in the world of tomorrow. From fundamental research to the emergence of an idea, to the production of a new product or service, France 2030 supports the entire life cycle of innovation, right through to industrialization.
– The scale of the program is unprecedented: €54 billion will be invested so that our companies, universities, and research organizations can successfully make the transition to these strategic sectors. The aim is to enable them to respond competitively to the ecological and attractiveness challenges of the coming world, and to create the future champions of our sectors of excellence, thereby strengthening French sovereignty and independence in key sectors. To this end, 50% of spending will be devoted to decarbonizing the economy, and 50% will be earmarked for emerging players, bringing innovation with no adverse impact on the environment (in line with the Do No Significant Harm principle).
– Will be implemented collectively: the plan is designed and deployed in consultation with economic, academic, local and European players, who have helped to determine its strategic orientations and flagship actions. Project leaders are invited to submit their applications via open, demanding and selective procedures, in order to benefit from government support.
– Led by the Secrétariat Général pour l’Investissement on behalf of the Prime Minister and implemented by the Agence de la Transition Ecologique (ADEME), the Agence Nationale de la Recherche (ANR), Bpifrance and the Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations (CDC).
